TRAVEL TO KOREA: SHOPPING HAUL!

Annyeong~ Yes! This is what I waiting for to share out. Korea is shopping heaven and of course you need to shop till you drop because there are a lot of things to buy there. Cosmetics, kpop albums, cute socks and more!! Just let your money fly~~

For me, I hunt for albums and cosmetics for sure! Before that, let me show you all a photo first!

TA DAAAA~~!!

This was the first shopping haul after I back from Busan :) I will start from the left. Let's go! I randomly bought the phone case because I want to replace the old one but end up related to Jackson (IGOT7 you know~) I stock up so much masks from innisfree, the face shop and it's skin (basically because of GOT7), they are cheap compare to the price in Malaysia! (1pc for RM3.00++) And also, cosmetics! Those socks are super cute, I can't resist myself to buy them!

These are only my cosmetics haul. I didn't buy much and I regretted T_T
I was worried about my money but I did arrange properly amount of money I can spend on my makeup but I messed them up XD But those are the things that I have no regret I bought! (should buy more!) I spent roughly 70,000 - 80,000 KRW here. Tips for girls: do not convert the currency. Just don't because after you convert you don't feel like buying them anymore T_T

From left: Contour Brush, Shading Brush & Blending Brush.

I also bought these makeup brush at Korea. 2 brush are from Etude House and another 1 is from Tony Moly. Surprisingly, they are really good to use!

p/s: the photo is not blur but the sticker over stack XD

I've been loving stickers & I actually collect cute stickers. They are so cute so I bought them.
I bought them at Daiso and they coast me 1,000KRW for 1 and inside a packet have 3 pcs T_T *thumbs up* I really love the galaxy stickers!

As a kpop fans, if you are not going to buy albums at there, you missed the chance. The price are affordable! All I bought above not more than 15,000KRW (if you want to know the price, DM me on Twitter/Instagram!)
I went to Myeongdong Underground one night and I bought them all as I thought I will not going there already, yes end up I went there once only T_T
Thankful I bought all the albums I want! I spent total of 85,500KRW here. But I'm happy! :D

----------------------------------------

That's all for my shopping haul! I hope I bought more though T_T
I definitely will be back again anytime soon!
Thank you for reading and see you on the next post!

KOREA DAY 8 IN SEOUL: BACK TO MALAYSIA & TIPS!

Annyeong~ I miss Korea already!! T__T
Anyway, I thought of writing my day 8 in Seoul as well to complete my whole trip itinerary and this post might be very short so I'm going to compile some tips in this post along.

Basically my day 8 was not bad. We didn't go anywhere on day 8 as our flight is at 4:00PM (KST).
We did packed and tidy up our luggage on the night before. We really did the right thing because you can't pack it on the day of your flight except your flight is on the night. But I suggest to pack earlier because last minute works never done.

So, we woke up at 10:00AM and getting ready to check out at 12:00PM. We are leaving our hostel but before we left, host came to send us off since he is going to tidy the house as well. That day was super cold and he even told us that it might snow in the afternoon. I was sad because why it's on the day we are leaving T_T  After ready to go, we walked to the subway and took AREX to Incheon Airport. While on the way to airport, IT SNOW!! My first time seeing snow & 2016 the first snow T__T still lucking to see snow though!

We reached airport at around 1:00++PM and get our tax refund! Queue for check in and finally settle down ourselves. We are leaving Seoul! Definitely will be back soon! :)

That's all for my last day in Seoul. We touched down Malaysia and it all became the same. Hot weather and very familiar language! :D

--------------------------------------------------------------

All of below are my only thoughts & experiences and it might not be the most accurate.

TIPS & GUIDES
* If you are travelling as a backpackers, please be ready to walk.
- they have a lot of stairs and some of the station didn't have escalators
- (subway) when you want to change from 1 line to another 1 line, ready to walk up or down and even walk for 200m-250m
- from one place to another place, you have walk (in 200m-350m or even more)

1. T-Money
- in Malaysia we have Touch N Go, yes! T-Money is kinda like Touch N Go
- you can buy them at subway stations within the city or convenient store with T-Money logo
- when you have your T-Money, just top up an amount in it // for me, I top up 50,000 won because I went there for 8 days & 7 nights
- you can get refund at convenient stores if you balance is less than 10,000 won (500 won will be charged)

2. Plan a draft itinerary
- if you are travelling for the first time, you surely have known where you want to go/explore
- write down the places you want to go along with which station/line/exit you are going, its really convenient and save time

3. Difference between AREX & KTX
AIRPORT RAILROAD EXPRESS (AREX) - INCHEON AIRPORT --> SEOUL STN
- Arex is used to go to Seoul Stn from Incheon Airport and have 2 types of train
*Express train [43 minutes] for 8,000 won
*All-stop train [56 minutes] for 4,050 won

KTX
- KTX is used to travel Busan
- But KTX is not direct train to Busan, KTX also stop at several stations/places
- Busan is the last stop and the duration took about 3 hours to reach
- I bought the tickets one the day I arrived at Seoul Stn, you can buy 2 ways together at the same time. Don't worry, they have a lot of slots to Busan (which can say that almost every hour also got train) I bought 2 ways for 100++ KRW = 400++ RM

* Busan Stn (KTX) & Busan Stn (subway)

- Busan Stn (KTX): travel to places that are far apart
- Busan Stn (subway): travel to places in town

I guess that's all for my tips. I might forgot what I want to write but most important tips are written already. Hope this could helps you guys a little. Do ask me if you have questions, reach me at Twitter @klkkquan or Instagram @soniasim28 :)

KOREA DAY 7 IN SEOUL: ISAAC TOAST, GWANGHAMUN, INSADONG, YG ENTERTAINMENT & MUSIC BANK

It's day 7 already! Actually it can be counted as the last day in Seoul because on the actual last day we didn't go to anywhere! We just slept & get ready to go to the airport. Since we already went most of the places, we decided to go to the places we didn't get to go as replacing it back.
Let's get started!

DAY 6 - THURSDAY - 24.11.2016

Walked to Isaac Toast for breakfast

Took subway to Gwanghwamun Stn - Gwanghwamun Square
Walked to Insadong for souvenirs
Took subway back to Hapjeong Stn - YG Entertainment
Took subway to National Assembly - Music Bank
Took subway back to Hongdae
----------------------------------------------------------------

GOING TO ISAAC TOAST

7th day in Seoul and finally we got ourselves a proper breakfast! Isaac Toast is quite famous & most of the tourist won't missed to have a try! Since they got a lot of compliments & it's near to our neighbourhood, we decided to give it a try! We walked to Isaac Toast to get our breakfast and the day was super cold in the morning!! (the distance isn't that near but still manage to arrive and it's nearest already) Isaac Toast, Hongdae is located right opposite Hongik University!

The toast is super good to be honest but their service are not really good T_T

GOING TO GWANGHWAMUN

After we got of breakfast, we decided to head to Gwanghwamun again because we missed to visit on our first time! So we took subway to Gwanghwamun #line 5.

Admiral Yi Sun-Sin

King Sejong Statue

Gwanghwamun!

The sun really warm me down T_T thankful!!

GOING TO INSADONG

I didn't take any photos here because the weather turned very very cold & we were walking all the way to Insadong. If you are at Gwanghwamun or this area, you probably can walk to Insadong. Even if you have time, you can walk slowly and look around. We were rushing & don't have enough time to look around. We reached Insadong and just bought our souvenirs. We also went to Bukchon Hanok Village but we don't know where it's actually located. We keep walking and seems very away, so we just took some photos at the small alley and went to YG Entertainment.

GOING TO YG ENTERTAINMENT

We took subway to Hapjeong Stn #line 2 or 6 exit 8. You will need to walk a little distance
(if you need direction, simply google it! There will have people wrote the direction on their blog! )

TA-DAAAA!!!

*don't ever step into their parking lot, they will chase you out XD*

GOING TO MUSIC BANK

After we went to YG Building, I went to Music Bank. Probably some of you might curious how did I get ticket for Music Back entrance.
I basically got it from Korea Tourism Organization's FB (KTO FB). I'm not really sure if they give out since early of the year but through out the year, I realise that they are giving out free tickets to tourists who visited Korea at the selected date and they only give out on the first week of every month or sometimes 3rd week of every month. Even Korea Tourism Organization Malaysia (to know more --> KTO MY) also giving out 20 free tickets for only Malaysian tourists who visited Korea on the selected date ( ONLY 2016 )

I was actually hoping they will give out tickets on the last week of the month since they didn't give out on any of the weeks. And yes, they posted this! All you need to do to get the ticket was email them your details and wait for them to email you back.

The entrance we queue at!

Music Bank ticket~
*take photos as many as you can because they will tear this ticket, even some tore it into half T__T*

This is the how the stage looks like!

*sorry for the blur photo because i was scare to take a photo T_T*

My show was on 25.11.2016 - EP 863 (you can watch back all the recorded on KBS World's Youtube). I actually don't know my lineup of the day until the day itself. I got to see TWICE, SHINEE, ASTRO, BAP, T-ARA, MAMAMOO, SEJEONG, UP10TION and other rookie groups & OST singers. I was hoping to see I.O.I but they ended their promotion already T_T but it's okay I got to see TWICE!! *Dahyun & Tzuyu super cute omg*

..
.

TIPS!!

I hope that they will continue giving out free tickets to tourists who visit Korea this year. If they really did giving out free tickets, here is some tips for you :)

1) if you did email them but didn't get a reply, it's okay. You just go to KBS building and go to the place where they give out the free tickets (they will give out tickets at the entrance of the studio and not artists entrance, so don't go to the wrong place)
If they have extra tickets, they will randomly give out the tickets. So if you are lucky enough, you probably will get one but if the tickets are finished, I'm sorry. (tips credited to Kak Wawa)

2) recording and taking photos of artists inside the broadcast is strictly prohibited. If you got to go in, please don't ever record or the security will chase you out. Some of them might give you chance to have your phone keep but if you did the second time, they will chase you out.
Just enjoy the show & cheers to your favourite artist and let the sweet memories stay in yourself.

That's all the tips I think, if I missed out any I will be writing a tips' post soon.

GOING BACK TO HONGDAE

After Music Bank, I went back to hostel to meet up with my other friends. Right after I arrived, they reached as well so we decided to out for dinner and walk around Hongdae as last shopping since it was our last day in Seoul. We walked into a restaurant that gave me a deep impression on it. I need to suggest this restaurant since it gave me home's feels.

Beef Noodle. This taste really amazing. I finally got to eat something spicy in Korea T_T
I don't know what soup is that, its not curry or kinda like laksa. It's chilli soup and it was so surprising that I actually found chilli (cili padi) in Korea XD
I can't forget this taste! Miss this already T__T

Cheese with Fries, Rice Cakes & Bacon.
This is a boom as well. Super delicious! I definitely will be back again T__T

If you go to Hongdae, please visit this restaurant and have a try! You won't regret! T_T

It's the last itinerary post of my Korea trip, thank you to all that actually read from the first day till the last day! Hope that what I wrote actually helps you in your future trip! I still have some leftover and will be update in short while! Please stay tune! ^_^

After getting our good food, we walked our way to jetty and you will need to buy the ticket at the counter which located at right hand side. (entrance fee for 6,000 won per person)

The counter will be at the right side of this entrance :)

The way going into the ferry!

Blue sky, blue sea & mountains!

Nami Island's entrance! We reached :)

Thank god autumn still here when I reached T__T

It's denim + denim dayyyy!

Nami Island is super super big and it might took 1 whole day for you to stroll.
We walked around & took lots of photos. After strolling in Nami Island, we went to Petite France.
So we back to the entrance, took the ferry and back to the jetty.
When we reached the jetty, we walked back to the bus stop and took the shuttle bus to Petite France.

The buildings are so colourful & the light makes them looks like a wonderland!
